Jim Krueger is a pioneering comic book writer renowned for his innovative storytelling and profound character development. Krueger's early interest in Superman served as a jumping off point for a lifelong fascination with comics. After graduating from Marquette University in 1989, Krueger employed skills picked up during a brief stint in marketing to secure a job as a copy writer for Marvel Comics and eventually worked his way up to Creative Director.
Krueger eventually began freelance writing and in 1996 he released the first issue of his original series, The Foot Soldiers, which explored a dystopian world where superheroes had been wiped out. 1999 saw Krueger teaming up with artist Alex Ross to co-create the seminal series Earth X, which gained critical accolades for its sweeping scope and philosophical depth. In 2005 they collaborated again on the widely praised DC limited series Justice which would eventually earn Krueger an Eisner Award with it’s collected edition, Absolute Justice. Through the years Krueger has continued to write original comics alongside his work on big names like Avengers, X-Men, Batman, and StarWars. He recently collaborated with music icon Steve Aoki to create the epic graphic novel, HiROQUEST.
